{"id":33865,"date":"2020-04-28T09:05:43","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T09:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgmrestop.com\/nuovo-regolamento-europeo-ue-20191781-sullefficienza-minima-dei-motori-elettrici\/"},"modified":"2025-03-28T09:50:37","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T09:50:37","slug":"nuovo-regolamento-europeo-ue-20191781-sullefficienza-minima-dei-motori-elettrici","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgmrestop.com\/en\/nuovo-regolamento-europeo-ue-20191781-sullefficienza-minima-dei-motori-elettrici\/","title":{"rendered":"New European regulation EU 2019\/1781 on the minimum efficiency of electric motors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The new European regulation (EU Regulation 2019\/1781) establishes new requirements for brake motors designed to operate at a sinusoidal voltage of 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or 50\/60 Hz, with a nominal voltage above 50V and up to 1000 V inclusive and continuous operation (S1, S3 \u2265 80%, S6 \u2265 80%), starting from July 1, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From July 1, 2021: \u2013 Three-phase brake motors with a rated power of 0.75 kW \u2264 PN \u2264 1000 kW with 2, 4, 6, or 8 poles must have a minimum efficiency class of IE3. \u2013 Three-phase brake motors with a rated power of 0.12 kW \u2264 PN &lt; 0.75 kW with 2, 4, 6, or 8 poles must have a minimum efficiency class of IE2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From July 1, 2023: \u2013 Single-phase brake motors with a rated power of PN \u2265 0.12 kW with 2, 4, 6, or 8 poles must have a minimum efficiency class of IE2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulation does not apply to certain types of motors, including two-speed motors and motors without ventilation (TENV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details and to download the new EU regulation 2019\/1781, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgmrestop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/REGOLAMENTO-UE-2019-1781.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEMEP (European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics) has prepared an informational document on the new regulation.
